This is the default mode for most transactions. Your funds are held securely until you are satisfied.
- You make payment → Funds are held in CartDash escrow
- Vendor ships your item → You receive shipping notification
- You receive & inspect item → Check condition within 3 days
- You confirm delivery → Payment is released to vendor
- Issue with item? → Open a dispute within 14 days
2. Pay After Delivery (Premium Vendors)
Some verified vendors offer "Pay After Delivery." This allows you to inspect your goods before any money leaves your pocket.
Vendor Verification
Vendors offering "Pay After Delivery" are verified Premium subscribers or active trial members. This status indicates a higher level of trust and commitment to customer satisfaction.
How it works:
- Place Order: You place the order without upfront payment.
- Receive Goods: Vendor delivers the item to your location.
- Inspect: Inspect the item thoroughly to ensure it matches the description.
- Make Payment: If satisfied, you finalize payment via the secure link provided.

Refund Guarantee & Disputes
Refunds for Escrow Transactions (Pre-Payment)
If you paid upfront (Escrow Mode), you are eligible for a 95% Refund (5% covers processing) in these situations:
- Item not delivered within promised timeframe + 14 days
- Wrong item received that doesn't match the description
- Damaged or defective item upon delivery
- Significant difference from product description/photos
- Vendor cancels order after payment
Disputes for Pay After Delivery
Since you have not paid yet for "Pay After Delivery" orders, the refund process is different:
- Item is Damaged/Wrong: You are not required to finalize payment. You must open a dispute immediately upon receiving the item, providing photo evidence of the defect.
- Item is Correct: You are contractually obligated to pay the vendor. Refusal to pay for correct goods constitutes fraud.
How to Request a Refund or Open Dispute
- Go to "My Orders" in your account
- Select the problematic order
- Click "Open Dispute"
- Select reason (Item not received, Damaged, Wrong item)
- Upload evidence (clear photos or video)
- Submit and await vendor response (3 days)
- CartDash will review and make final decision (5 days)
Time limit: Disputes must be opened within 14 days of delivery.
